Hi! I’m Jason H (AKA the SecComet). I’m a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, specialising in the production of effective documentation and operational process for a client SOC. I graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BEng (Hons) in Cybersecurity and Forensics, which included spending 12 months with the threat research and security engineering team of a security MSP. My Honours research concerned the capture and analysis of bluetooth fitness tracking device data.

Outside of university, I attend a lot of industry events and have even spoken at events including BSides Belfast 2019, and Le Tour Du Hack 2022. I also volunteer regularly at a number of community cyber conferences including:

  • BSides Leeds
  • Hack Glasgow
  • BSides London

My other hobbies include PC gaming, particularly simulation and racing games, and I hope to start playing airsoft soon.
